Allstate’s New DriveWise Discount

Allstate wants to accurately reward you for your safe driving. You will still get discounts for being accident and ticket free, but now there's a new way to save even more. By signing up and installing the DriveWise device in the electronic port of your vehicle, you will automatically receive a small discount on your policy. The device will then measure your speed, miles driven, time of day that you drive, and the rate at which brake and accelerate. Based on those results, you will be eligible for up to a 30% discount at your renewal. This not a GPS device and is not compatible with all policies and vehicles. Auto Accident

In the unfortunate situation of an auto accident, it is always a good idea to contact the police no matter the severity of the damage. A police officer can help determine who is responsible for the accident, collect necessary information from both parties and witnesses, and advise those involved as to what to do next. Please be advised that police will not take a report for an accident occurring on private property such as a parking garage or lot. If you find yourself in this situation, it is a good idea to take pictures of the damage to all vehicles involved and collect contact and insurance information of all parties involved.

Auto Glass Damage

Have a windshield chip or crack? Allstate may be able to have it repaired for you for free through our Glass Claims Express program. Typically, if the affected area is smaller than the size of a dollar bill, it can be filled by a local auto glass repair company. If you have a chip or crack in your windshield, call 1-800-626-4527 to speak with a glass claims representative and schedule a time for evaluation and repair. The sooner you can call, the better because chips and cracks can easily expand due to bumps in the road, changes in temperature, and other factors.

Roadside Assistance

If your car breaks down, runs out of gas, or if you have a flat tire, Allstate can help in more ways than one. If you’re a member of Allstate Motor Club, an annual roadside assistance membership program, Allstate can dispatch someone to help as part of your member services at no extra charge to you. If you are not a Motor Club member but need help, Allstate can still help through the Roadside Advantage program. With no registration or upfront payment required, Allstate can send an approved service provider to help for a flat fee of $75 per tow and $50 per any other service such as a flat tire. Water in Your Basement

In the case of sudden, heavy rain, it’s a good idea to frequently check your basement for water backing up through the sump pump or sewer system. Water back-up is one of the most common types of property claims so it is important to make sure you are properly protected. Feel free to call us to verify that you have water back-up coverage on your policy and that the coverage amount is sufficient. In the case of a finished basement, an increase in coverage may be necessary.
